Title in English:

Semantic Interference of Native Vocabulary and Borrowings

Abstract:

Many French borrowings that are members of synonymic series in Romanian have a tendency of acquiring specific values. The stylistic value of neologism synonyms occurs due to their ability to contrast in the same context with the
original vocabulary. The article studies the interrelations of a Romanian word and its French borrowing. Synonyms are used for the analysis of Romanian literary texts. Various dictionaries of two languages are used.
