Abstract:

This article examines the relationships between identity(ies), translanguaging, and transculturing in a context of linguistic and cultural plurality. Drawing on the seminal work of García (2009), Li Wei (2018), Kramsch (2009), Blommaert (2010), and Narcy-Combes et alii (2019), it offers a theoretical reflection on contemporary hybrid practices and their impact on identity construction. This reflection highlights the need to move beyond monolingual and multiculturalist models in favor of dynamic, integrative, and critical approaches to linguistic and cultural diversity.
